Holland international Rafael van der Vaart says that if he is forced out of Real Madrid then Manchester United would be his preferred destination.
Van der Vaart is reportedly on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu with Real now set to trim their star-studded squad following a host of summer arrivals - including Mesut Oezil.

Do we really need him? If the likes of Oezil,Canales,Di Maria and Kaka at Madrid,then surely VDV will find less space in the squad? I doubt Ferguson will go for Van der Vaart however,should the Scotsman actually make a bid for the former HSV star,would he even fit into United's regime?
