Hey.

Ive just signed van der vart halfway through my first season for 12.25 million (im aware that is good) :P

I dont get him till the end of the season whhich is fine.

One problem though. im not sure where to play him? i dont really like playing attacking midfielders of the type of van der vaart at CM. Does anyone else have any experience from him they would like to share???

heres my formation as you can see i do not play with an attacking midfielder

RW-------------------LW

Im thinking about retraining him to LW now ive sold nasri. ?
 
If you change your formation to:

----------GK-----------
RB----CB------CB----LB
-------CM---CM--------
RW-------AM---------LW
------------ST------------

The he will fit VERY nicely into the AM slot. (set him as playmaker too mind)
 
i signed him and then let him go out on loan i dont play with a amc and when i asked my assistant what he was like as a mc he said offload this player as soon as possible.
I got him midway throught 1st season for £9million, he was transfer listed

Don't always listen to your assistant on these things...

Generally, AMs and DMs can play in CM too.
 
i wouldn't play him on the wing. play him cm or am.
 
he is always transfer listed in jan in my game
 
Van Der Vaart for me plays best behing the strikers in a Attacking Midfielder Role .
An Advanced Playmaker.
 
What I noticed Real Madrid always sign him in like every season. from when they sell him.
