In related news, Emile Heskey can't shoot.

At least Woodgate has the courtesy to stay injured and not keep coming back and getting people's hopes up.

i wonder what how long it will be for the "with RVP we would have won the league" comments then.

This is brilliant news! all we need now is Arshavin to injure himself a bit, and along with Cesc's summer transfer fiasco, Wenger has all the excuses he needs to jusitfy a trophyless season :p

glass legs is injured again then, if he cant stay fit why keep him? buy a forward who can actually STAY fit for a few months and not get injured in August :@

Fantastic. One of our best players, our best striker and first choice set-piece taker is injured again. Aggravating little **** he is.

You want Arsenal to sell van Persie? Not trying to be funny, but who is actually better than RvP that would want to join Arsenal? Don't get gayer, support the guy.

This.

Also, the DFA ****** up his injury length last time, i'm gonna wait for Wenger.

EDIT: In fact, from the website:

Robin van Persie (Ankle)
30 August

Robin van Persie suffered an ankle injury during Saturday's win over Blackburn. Speaking immediately after the match Arsene Wenger said: "He twisted his ankle and the first news is 10 days.

lolz, you'll be alright though, youve got chamakh

2009/2010 for arsenal again. look at the signs, the high scoring has already begun with theo "roadrunner" walcott even scoring a hat trick!!

at the end of last season someone on here can't remember who but was an arsenal fan said we got RVP back next season and if we can keep him fit we will win the league. and i said since he has joined arsenal he hasen't completed a full season.

Its a shame because when 100% fit the lad is sensational but i think its another case of the Torres situation having enough of the niggles you get week in week out taking toll.

Its now 6 weeks out at least for old glass legs :S

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie will be sidelined with an ankle injury until at least mid-October. The Dutchman, 27, suffered the injury during Arsenal's 2-1 win over Blackburn in the Premier League on 28 August.
The Netherlands Football Association had forecast he would be out for "at least a few weeks", however, the problem is worse than first feared.
Van Persie missed five months last season after damaging ankle ligaments while on international duty.
His latest injury rules him out of Arsenal's first two Champions League group stage matches, at home to Braga on 15 September and away to Partizan Belgrade 13 days later.
It seems likely he will miss up to five Premier League matches, including the north London derby at Tottenham on 21 September and away to Chelsea on 3 October.
The Dutch, meanwhile, will have to do without him for their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Moldova and Sweden next month, with Hamburg's Ruud van Nistelrooy likely to continue to fill the striking breach in the squad.
Van Persie's injury saw former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Van Nistelrooy called up by the Netherlands for the first time in two years, as the 34-year-old scored once in his country's opening Group E qualifier on Friday - a 5-0 win over San Marino.
After missing much of last season through injury, Van Persie was an ever present as the Netherlands reached the World Cup final, but he has had a frustrating start to the current campaign.
Lacking full match fitness, he made only brief appearances in Arsenal's opening fixtures against Liverpool and Blackpool before his first start of the campaign was curtailed by injury after 35 minutes on Saturday.
Marouane Chamakh, who led the line after replacing Van Persie on Saturday, is likely to continue to play as Arsenal's sole forward with Denmark international Nicklas Bendtner also unavailable because of a groin injury.
There was better news for Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, though, on midfielder Samir Nasri.
The Frenchman injured his knee in 1-1 league draw at Liverpool on 15 August - the opening day of the season.
However, according to a statement on Arsenal's website, Nasri "will return to training in the next few days", after initially being expected to be ruled out for a month.
