Aston Villa are looking for a new manager after the shock departure of Martin O'Neill only five days before the start of the new Premier League season.

Martin Jol is supposedly favourite to take over, with Bob Bradley behind him.

Whoever does take over, is going to have a very tough time keeping the fans happy seeing as though they've had 3 consecutive 6th place finishes under O'Neill and they're now losing 1 (possibly 2) of their best players as well.

Going to be a long season for Villa fans I reckon..

Martin Jol is the favourite but I doubt he will leave Ajax even though he has a lack of funds there,I suppose Bob Bradley could be your man

Martin Jol wants to leave Ajax. He wanted to take the Fulham job but they couldn't agree compensation with Ajax so Jol had to backtrack and say he was happy to stay. I think Jol will replace O'Neill, with Bradley and Bilic the other managers who have a chance.

Most Villa fans do not want Bob Bradley as no experience in England and doubt he could push the club forward. Bilic would be a gamble, but 1 that could pay off imo. Jol would be great if we could persuade him to leave, not sure it was just the compensation package with Fulham though.....he had a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave, but he didnt realise that it had expired!

Not happy about 90% of the managers mentioned....Roy Keane ffs??

its easier if we used the thread from last night since its still the same story
