Would quite like to try and make a formation like Wales are using in the euros. Was wondering about the shape, they play wide but marrow when they don't have the ball. Would u think I'd have to play narrow and just keep my wingbacks wide and switch to other flank or just play wide? Any other suggestions would be helpfull

Wales play 5-2-2-1, according to Radio 5 Live yesterday. But in trying to plot the midfield and forwards in FM-talk, I've got a 5-1-2-1-1 (or a staggered variation on 5-3-2). What do you think?:

Joe Ledley - DM(C) - Deep Lying Playmaker_Defend
Joe Allen - M(C) - Ball Winning Midfielder_Support
Aaron Ramsey - M(C) - Box-to-Box Midfielder
Hal Robson-Kanu - AM(C) - Shadow Striker
Gareth Bale - S(C) - False9 (maybe Trequartista?)

Sam Vokes is a Target Man, when he comes on. I think Johnny Williams is a winger.

I'd instruct Allen and Ledley to Switch the Ball to the Opposite Flank and have both wing-backs on attack mode. Shadow Striker to Move Into Channels and the wing backs to Cross More Often.

I've had a go at attempting what you've asked from my own perspective.

I am in the process of playing around with it and trying to improve it, so would appreciate any feedback you can give.

I took this from Wales vs Portugal line up, with the idea of having a very defensive/counter style of play with players dropping into channel's. Though truth be told im having difficulty making the players act as i would like, switching flanks and moving into channels etc.

The defence works well, very little foul's and next to no cards. Goals conceded are usually from a range outside of the box. (not many of those either). Just need to get the midfield and strikers to work as preferred :/
