I've started my 3rd season with man utd, i play 4 4 2, Ive kept the backbone of the utd team, only players I have brought in is james rodriguez from porto & Mateo Kovacic, I got some youth players for the future like Niang and Fierro but at the moment im playing either Hernandez or welbeck (pochers) up top with rooney Ive been playing Rooney as a Deep lying forward but hes very inconsistant in that role? Whats the best tactic / role to get the best out of him?

Complete Forward with Hernandez as poacher is the best way to go mate!

Wayne Rooney prefers to be played as a Target man which gets him goals and assists however I would personally play his as an AF and the goals will come

What do you want him to do? Personally I think he's best as a complete forward on support, free to roam the channels and move forward if he wants to. This way he creates tons of chances and scores more than a few. However he's good and versatile enough to play any role up front, or even as a wide or attacking midfielder.

i play him as an advanced forward 24 apps 50 goals and its only january (screenshots can be provided) i do use scotmans Cinema M tactic

score and assist, he gose on alot of doroughts, hernandez and rodriguez get most of my goals, nani is always my top assister

I've used him as a complete forward and as deep lying, and he was very inconsistent in both postistions.. So ill give advanced a go now..

How do you make him score goals? Do you tweek his instructions?

I played him on the wide left of a 4-2-2-2 as an inside forward. He ended up netting 34 goals from the wing. Had Hernandez and Erick Torres upfront.
