My assistant manager is a plonker. Look what he replied to this message.
I mean, who would be happy to be knocked out of a competition??? lol
 
its not so much hes happy with the result
think of the answers like
most positive
positive
neutral
negative
most negative
the fact that you lost 3-1 to a premiership team is a decent result.
hence he has responded to the comment positively
or
rather than ***** at the comments he makes in the press
take the confrences yourself.

Am I the only one who can see the logic behind that answer or are you all just taking the ****?

I'd say losing by more then 1 goal to anyone isn't a thing to be happy about but since a League One team doesn't have a realistic chance of winning the FA Cup, and seeing as losing to a Premiership team is nothing to be ashamed of, he's happy because you can now focus on whats really important, the league

I agree with you, but the funny thing here is the way the game asks, and how the responses look like. Because, if it´s a good thing not to loose heavily to a Premiership side, what the game asked was how he felt about being eliminated from the FA Cup - and, even you you can get happy because you did not loose heavily, you will not be happy because you were eliminated ...

In many cases, the answers that can be given in Press Conferences does not make any sense in regard to what is being asked ...

I think it still makes sense really.

Reporter: "How do you feel about being knocked out of the FA Cup"

AM: "It left me with a smile on my face"

Reporter: "Why?"

AM: "Now we can fully focus on the league"

Its something which several managers in real life have said to the press before, even from ones in the Premier League
 
I would sack him, maybe if it was "We know can focus on the league" it would have been better.
 
sack him or make him a coach, I always buy AC Milans Claudio Gaudino and make him my assistant manager. He is quality but you will need your wage budget to be high as he is greedy!<)
