Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck has a medical ahead of a proposed season-long loan switch to Sunderland.

Hopefully he'll get some games in,prove his potential and become a star for Manchester United in the future.

He has the ability.Just needs to start showing it.

he is a good player, but going on-loan will only help him to try and get in the utd squad once hes back

excellent, lots of our young players are getting prem experience this season

Sunderland seem to be becoming a Manchester United's feeder club at the moment, understandable since Bruce and Keane were both captains for Fergie though.

Welbeck is a good young player, I imagine he's been shipped out to accommodate Hernandez, Macheda and this young Bebe fella. Hopefully Sunderland will be able to expose him to first team football but they are certainly playing without a big guy up front now, lots of pace though.

yeah he fell behind macheda in the pecking order last year, macheda would have played more if he hadnt had picked up a four month injury

will be good if he actually gets games, he is proberly behind bend and campbell at the moment though.

Good news, hopefully he gets some games this season and finally proves he is good enough for United.
