What am I doing wrong?

Playing as Shakhtar, so my defenders are above par for the Ukrainian PL, yet I concede a goal almost every single attack? And it then takes me sometimes 20 shots a game to score 1 goal. I can play with 3,4 or 5 defenders and this still happens. Any advice?
