So I'm looking to invest in a new pair of football boots, mine are starting to wear thin.
Me, I've always been a fan of the Adidas series, had the old-school predators, to the first F50's, to the newish F50+.

I used to play at quite a high level but other commitments (to cricket, and work) meant that I had to take a backstep and am now playing simple Sunday League. So for this reason I am not looking to spend much more than £40-£50, any cheap sites would be great, and if not what boots have done you well, for around that price range.

Thats more a show off what boots you have type thread.

I would say go to the pro direct sale pages and have a nosey about. It all depends on your personal preference, i hate the gimmicky plasticky Nike vapors for example, others love them.

Sale - £40-£60

Sale - £60-£80

I like the new preds tbh and the cheap ones have a nice comfy feel for me.

Ones I used last season.

So far this season.

Got last seasons when new, they cost me £80, this seasons cost me £100, looking at them now, the price of them has already dropped nearer to £50 :(

Play Sunday League, I have the chance to join Prescot Cables any time this year though. Played centre-mid most of last season whereas I have been shifted to right-back for this season, hence I have chosen lighter boots. Loved last seasons boots, this seasons have done a different job, but have also been brilliant, I would recommend them.

Love the adizero's! favourite boot out atm :wub:
desperately want a pair, but need more game time before i can justify spending a large amount on boots again...

Just go into a shop and choose one you like. It's better than online, as it might be a size too small, or something. You never know.

I always spend a decent amount on boots tbh. Only buy them once a season, always makes me feel more comfortable wearing a quality pair of boots. But yeah the Adizero's are really good, very light, can't believe they're down to £50!

Cheers guys I found a pair of F50's for £12 on Ebay in good condition, think I'll take a punt at them and maybe go for the adizeros as well.

yeah, the cheaper ones aren't good for my feet so always get the like, real ones :]
usually have 2 pairs for a season though, blades and studs, easier that way;
the new Adizero's that are coming out soon are absolutely beautifull, but will probably go for the ones in the sale :)
