It is definitely not a 4-3-3 but at the same time you cannot say it is a 4-5-1 because Fletcher is all over the field, Carrick can score and defend and Scholes is an extremely well passer of the ball no matter what area he is in, Nani runs riot down the wing, so i believe that the formation has a AMR and Giggs also performs superb down the wing/flank so i believe there is an AML also.

So is it the standard 4-3-3 consisting of 2 CMs,2 AM(R/L), 1 DMC

OR

is it a formation of 3 CMs and AML/AMR

And what type of a striker is rooney, Target Man or Advanced Forward, i cant be sure if Rooney is as tough as a player IRL compared to FM 10.

i think itrs the one with a DMC 2MC and AML/R.. fletcher acts as a box to box..if im not wrong or it may be an asymmetric.from my experiences rooney can be both..i have set him as target man with supply to run onto ball..
