If you were going to put yourself in FM, what position and role would you play yourself based on real life attributes? Personally;

Position: LM/AML
Role: Wide Midfielder - Attack
Reason: Lacking the electric pace of an out an out winger, I wouldn't use the winger role, although with good crossing, passing and shooting skills I would suit the wide midfielder, with maybe re-training myself to a CM/AM to also make use of my work rate.
IRL comparison: Not really sure, Ryan Giggs as he is now?

Interesting thread. Right section?

Position: DM
Role: Anchor man
Reason: Not particularly mobile, not particularly good technically, but tactically aware, a good tackler and composed distribution. Also, strong and can make some bursting runs from deep if necessary.

I'm not sure, it is FM related, so I thought I'd put it in General Discussion :)

Position: Central Defender
Role: Ball-Playing Defender, Cover
Reason: Stand off the attackers and anticipate their movements quite well. Often go in for an aggressive tackle and can distribute a long pass up the field. Would say Deep-Lying Playmaker, Support, but not really had a chance to play in the centre of midfield.

Quite easy for me! If I was to compare my playing style to a footballer, it'd be Charlie Adam (during his St Mirren days, rather than Blackpool!)

Position: Central Midfielder or striker
Role: Box to box
Reason: I don't have blistering pace either. My main abilities are passing and long range shooting and my weaknesses are tackling and heading. If I'm playing an eleven a side game, I always want a central midfield spot and if I have a good tackler beside me!
I can also play quite well as a striker, I use my height well and I'm a decent finisher although I'm much more comfortable shooting from further out.

Position: AMC
Role: Attacking Midfield

Reason: Tactically aware and good passing skills, i also have good pace and can break in the forwards to support. I also have quite good dribbling skills but i'm not at all good at tackling.

Postion: CM
Role: Advanced Playmaker
Reason: Without ever posessing the goal threat of Frank Lampard , what I lack in goals I believe I make up for in assists. I am very quick to see a pass and 9/10 can execute it perfectly.
IRL Comparison: Xavi

Position: CM
Role: Centre Mid - Attack
Reason: Good vision , good passing, decent dribbler, great first touch etc
Capable of playing more defensive also;)

Position: RB
Role: Fullback - Attack
Reason: I've got good energy in getting up and down the pitch, also I'm really comfortable on the ball and have a good range of passing.

Position: DM
Role: Anchor Man
Reason: Every Saturday down the park practicing with local team and I'm always in this type of role. Quite bulky so can easily out muscle people and can generally read the play quite well. I would also be pretty good with deep lying playmaker role but need to work on long range passing abit.

Position: Left Back
Role: In the changing room
Reason: Terrible at football.

Position: CM/AM
Role: Advanced playmaker
Reason: Due lack of pace and very poor heading ( tho im 1,80 m) i cant be striker. I love my finish, I have killer instict. My friends say that I have slow short passing and that I dont always pass the right player. Its true :( But long pass is best part of my game, that and i can play with left and right foot.

wow, lot of you guys are wonderkids XD

Position: CM
Role: Box-to.box midfielder
Reason: Good vision , excellent passing, good dribbler, great technique and creativity
My only two real problems are my fear of mistakes and it's why I actually make them and the fact I'm slow
IRL comparison: Senijad Ibričić

Also:
Position: AMR
Role: Inside Forward
Reason: Good vision , excellent passing, good dribbler, great technique and creativity, I know how to cut in and cross and I have pretty well shooting skills and if there weren't those problems I stated to have I'd probably be one of the best players in Hajduks youth ranks :D
IRL comparison: Theo Walcott

Position: Bench Warming DR
Role: Wing Back
Reason: I'm shockingly bad at football, so don't deserve to be playing first team football :P But I play decent on the right defending, and can swing in a few good crosses :)

Position: AML/AMC
Role: Inside forward support
Reason i love cutting inside and passing as many killer trought balls as possible or just curling a long shot on the other end of the goal

Position- Left back,
Role- Full back, support
I am quite fast and a good crosser of the ball. i am a good header of the ball but dont have enough stamina for a left winger!

Position: D C / DM / CM
Role: Anchorman, Ball winning CM, etc
Reason: Roar

Position: CF
Role: Complete Forward-Attack
Reason: I am as tall as Peter Crouch so like to use my height to my advantage, I am fast, good hold up skills, good passing, crossing, strong and can finish.

Would be adequate at CB too.

GK
Role- Attacking Sweeper

Reason: I can really handle, I'm great at positioning, communication, reflexes and aerial ability and I got the cahones to rush out and make a good pass. Plus I'm a good thrower and goalkicker.

I win

Position: RB
Role: Support
Reason: Have played RB since i was first went to Secondary school in 2001, know the role inside and out. Have good stamina, don't mind supporting attacks down the right hand side, have decent distribution as i was a right mid before right back. have also played CB so tackling, heading, strength, positioning are above average. Anywhere but up top as i tend to have Cameron Jerome syndrome.
