Just starting pre-season with some players wanting improved contracts. All went smooth until Hugo Lloris wants his wage improved for 80k pw to 170k pw, making him by some 80k the highest paid player at my club. (Spurs)
Now, we're not skint but 170k pw?

My question is this, there is another keeper, Steve Mandanda, he is almost a carbon copy of Lloris.
Do I pay Lloris the money he wants?
Should I sell Lloris and go after Mandanda?
Or stick to my guns and wage structure risking an upset player?

I can get Mandanda for 11 million and pay him what I pay Lloris now.
I can likely get 20+ million for Lloris and save on wages.

Easy decision. Get rid of the ****** and get Mandanda.
Just another possibility: Chelsea has both Cech and Courtois. Somewhere in S2 you can get Courtois cheap because he doesn't play many games since Cech is a beast.
