SYNOPSIS

An eccentric New Yorker played by Larry David abandons his Upper class lifestyle, to live a more Bohemian existence. He meets a young girl from the south and her family and no two people seem to get a long in the entanglements that follow. This is a comedy also starring Ed Begley Jr., Patricia Clarkson, Conleth Hill, Michael Mckean, Evan Rachel Wood, and a number of other amusing types.

A truly brilliant film, i saw this the other day with my dad and we were in fits of laughter, during and after. The acting is also superb, Meloni is fantastic, as is Larry David, who seems to have been told by Woody Allen to do whatever he wants. Apparently he initially turned down the offer, because he thought Woody Allen wanted an actor, and he wasn't one, Allen simply said that he wanted him, not another actor.

Highly recommend it, 3-4 stars, because it also requires a slightly more mature humour, which suits my dad fine!
