So I really enjoy FM but I can't sink my teeth into it as much as I used to. I can probably do 5-10 hours a week on mid tier "work" laptop (so loading can take a while) - it's an 11th gen i7 with 16Gb RAM running on Ubuntu.
I find a lot of the things that "need" to be done to maintain moisture a chore (e.g. praise players for training performance - which adds like 5 minutes every game week).
I enjoy building the tactics and playing around in the transfer market. I couldn't care less about the press. Training is fine, not the most fun, but once set up it's not a big waste of time.
I do also like the wonderkid, youth development game, with a little bit of "money ball".
It might be just I need to mess with database settings to get the load time faster? But I probably get one game done every 20 minutes with all the waiting.
