Hey guys,

I'm playing as Middlesbrough in my 4th season (3rd in the EPL) and I'd like to know what's considered "good" player development. I'm referring specifically to the development bar on the coach report for a player. Although I have top training and youth facilities and the majority of my players are full bar for morale, very few of my players are past the half point in development. I'm giving them as heavy as a workload as I can and all of my coaching categories are 4 stars+. I'm also playing my young players with my first team as I can...I'm doing all that comes to mind in terms of player development.

Is half a bar for development considered "good"? If not, what am I missing?

I would say good tutoring as well, to get the best of them them either tutor and play on a regular level (or close to it) or loan them out for a season and see how they develop.

Ah, I see. Thanks guys. I went a little overboard on signing young potential...I only have 3 players over the age of 23 and my squad's average age is 21 plus change hahah. I'll look into it once I have more suitable players of age though.

So I take it having a development bar at half way isn't all that great?

Standard?

I think you're looking for another sports manager game. The word standard does not exist in association football.
