What's up with my contract?

I have been manager of Aston Villa for 5 years and lead them to great success in the Cups and League. I'm in September and it's the beginning of the season and we are in 2nd place. I've just won the Super Cup and been offered a new contract but when I looked at the terms there was no Expiry Date there, however I accepted the contract. A few weeks later and I've been sacked without a reason even being given. Can anyone give me some help here? :S

Most likely answer; Bug, sorry mate do you have a back up save before but, close to that point ?
