When Loading FM it closes

Hi,
I have installed FM but now when it loads (specifically straight after the licensing page) FM closes and no pop up comes up. I tried to see if the processes says if its still running but that is a no.
Is this a common problem? What happens now, is there something I can do to fix it?

Although I've had this problem a few times and I've had to either "verify integrity of game cache..." which is located by Right clicking on FM12 on steam, selecting properties then local files. Or having to restart steam.

I don't use Steam for this.

A friend of mine gave me his CD and you don't need steam to install it :S
