Where is "left" and "right" side of the pitch?

If I want to exploit the right or left side of the pitch, what is it actually based on? My side or my opponents side?
For example I had a game where my opponent had a red card, they decided to play without a defender on their right side, as well as having an minor injury on their right wing and I wanted to take advantage of this. Since their right side would be my left side, which side should I exploit to make sure that my players are exploiting the correct side of the pitch?

If their right side is weak, exploit the left side with your left sided players.
