Does anyone use either an ASUS X553 or a HP-15-ac111na to play FM16 on?

Both look like reasonable laptops but i'm not sure their processors are good enough, the ASUS has an Intel Celeron N2840 / 2.16 GHz ( 2.58 GHz ) / 1 MB Cache & the HP a Intel Pentium 3825U / 1.9 GHz / 2 MB Cache.

Many Thanks

are you looking around 300? Maybe take a look at the Lenovo G50, you can get it for around 250 and then spend a the difference on a nice SSD as your boot drive and a HDD caddy to replace the DVD Drive and you will have a great laptop for under 300.
Buy LENOVO G50 15.6" Laptop - Black | Free Delivery | Currys

Also you could take a look at the Dell Vostro 3546
which is about 270 on ebuyer.

Both are 15.6 inch laptops and would run FM16, am personally would pick them over low end ASUS and HP Laptops. The ASUS inst terrible but considering the other options like a quadcore 1.3GHz Lenovo and being able to still put in an SSD for cheaper than the Asus then I think the ASUS is a little pricy for what it is

Hi RichTUK, will the Lenovo Processer be good enough? Recommend requirements says a 2.2GHz but the G50 has a Quad-core 1.3 GHz?

the 2.2GHz refers to single core. they will all run FM16 ok.

I think id go for the HP 250!! that i5 beats the pentium and smashes the celeron and the other 2 laptops i mentioned. 2.2 dual core with hypertreading and 2.7 boost for 300!! I would still get an ssd and throw out the DVD drive if you can afford it but I wouldnt look at the other 4 laptops knowing I could get a much better 5th gen core i5 for just 299.
