Arsene Wenger. The best manager in the world by an absolute Mile.

Look what he has done with Arsenal. the players he brings in for the money is just world class. Ive found that when Wenger believes in a player he will keep playing them. Which is brilliant.

I respect Ferguson but he spent so much more money over the years but he is a fantastic manager.

Arsene Wenger because he is a good coach and a respectful man.

wtf, this wenger guy has no respect for a good man utd coach

Arsene is good but I dont like the way he "steals" youths from anothers clubs.

My favourite manager is Vicente Del Bosque.

Simon McMenemy. Last season he was Worthing FC's assistant manager but now he is the Philippines National Football Team Manager! That's great success for an 8th tier coach :)

This about FM guys, not real life.

Its true that Arsenal steals youngster from around the world, but so do the rest of clubs as well. However the ability he has to develop those youngsters is pure admiration.

Pep is also doing a good job, but then again, its Barcelona, and they have most of the best players in the world in their position.

Peronally I like Mourinho, he has the ability to max out the potential of the squad. I also like Bielsa for his tremendous attacking approach.

And Finally Ferguson, despite of not being popular among many, has to be on that list. In these times for a manager to remain 20+ years in a club, could be called a miracle. True, they spent lots of money, but most of it quite wisely. Besides, the amount of money spent by Real Madrid compared to Man U in the last decade is ridiculous. I mean, name the clubs that spend 70+ M for a single player? That is only one!

Agreed. He has been very wise with his signings since he took over. Fair enough, he's made some bad decisions (Veron at £28m, for example), but most of his signings have been quality:

Hughes - £1.8m
Bruce - £800k
Irwin - £625k
Schmeichel - £550k
Cantona - £1.2m
Solskjaer - £1.5m
Ronaldo - £12m
Vidic - £7m
Evra - £5.5m

You say most but you have named 9 good signings. Ferguson has made about 80 - 100 signings

what think of a manager in real life often affects your pre determined opinion of him on football manager

Jose is lucky, wherever he goes, he got quality players.
Wenger is top-notch , but he always blame officials rather than his own players,
Ferguson also a legend, but he never keep his star player happy. Tevez,Becks,Stam prime example,
and for me the best of the best has to go to Josep Guardiola of Barca.
he got it all,

1)young-level headed
2)typical Catalan,maintain Barca philosophy
3)6 trophy on his debut season
4)always respect opposition manager
5)when Barca want to sell players,he never criticise that player, instead kept praising and wish luck to them (Yaya Toure,Hleb,)
6)doesn't like to put pressure on youngster like Bojan,Alchantara,Muniesa

hopefully he can coach Spain to another WC title in future time.
