July 2nd 2009: Wolves Chairman Steve Morgan today announces the sacking of Mick McCarthy, He didn't want to hold a press conference as it brings too much bad media to the club and he felt it would just be wrong. But his spokesman did have this to say 'Mick has been sacked as manager today because he assaulted a Wolves fan after the fan hurled abuse at him, that will be all' McCarthy was supposedly seen 'fly kicking' this fan, therefore putting him in hospital.

July 4th 2009: Today Steve Morgan has told the media their are 3 candidates for the job ... An unknown 17 year old 'Kieran Fox', Ex-Preston manager Alan Irvine and Cardiff boss Dave Jones. The bookies have rated each managers chances with these odds:

Fox: 5000/1
Irvine: 4/5
Jones:4/1

Irvine is clearly the favourite!

July 6th 2009: Is their anyone that actually bet on Kieran Fox to be manager?
If so you are the luckiest person alive as he's done it! Steve Morgan revealed Fox as manager in a press conference at 8:34am this morning. Morgan said 'What is all the hype about an unknown manager, I mean look at Avram Grant ... He didn't win anything at Chelsea, but got them to 2 finals and came fighting back for the title after they were 16 points adrift in December, they didn't win, but he did well is all I'm saying. I have faith in Fox'

July 7th 2009: Fox 'I hate it when people write you off as I'm young and inexperienced, I know basically EVERY player is older than me and may take me as a joke, but that doesn't bother me I want to gain their respect and make Wolves into the great team they can and hopefully under my management will be'.

'This team needs a few new additions to it, players and staff wise and I tend to get the best players/staff possible to further this club!'

Contracts have been offered and accepted by 2 Portsmouth scouts:

Ian Bowyer
Rob Walker

The compensation of £70,000 for each has been agreed and now we can move onto endulging into the transfer market. :)

loved the title and that bit was very funny

Good Luck should be interesting

July 10th Press Conference: 'The Chairman has told me I have a transfer budget of £7.25m and a wage budget of £275k, which I find great and surprising as they have only just come up, didn't expect them to have anywhere near as much as this'

Pre-Season and Transfer Update Soon come :)

Should be good mate, I'm following.

Pre-Season Update (Transfers)

Scoring an impressive 25 goals and only conceding 4 goals, says everything right there. Bit annoyed at the Palace 3-0 defeat but hey they you go. Strikers look good, but they weren't the best teams, so I won't judge until the Prem. Defenders and Keeper also looking good, keeping a cleansheet in the first 6 games!

Players in:

Nicky Shorey

550k and 50% wages for a full season loan. In my eyes thats a bargain, especially from what he can bring to the table. Needed a left back and he was transfer listed and I think he will fit perfectly in my team and do well for us, who knows maybe the future fee of 3.1mil could be used at the end of the season.

The young versitile ukrainian centre back is what wolves is all about. Young, energetic and enthusiastic about playing. He not only is part of my present team, but at only 18 becomes a vital player for the wolves of this club too, he will definately be a great player I am sure of it and at 3mil he better be good!

Kyle Lafferty

Not the sort of the player anyone buys really, never seen him leave Rangers in my Fm'ing career. But I wanted a change, As i've played as N.Ireland before and he bagged the goals, so I thought ill give him a go. For 6,5mil and 10% percentage profit of next sale. This is a big gamble, he has a big price tag (for this club) I hope this isn't on his mind, I'm sure he fufill what he is capable of, Also he is only 21 and has a future ahead of him.

Players Out:

Matt Hill - Loan to Swindon
Daniel Jones - 400k to Ipswich
Darren Ward - 250k to Bristol City
Andrew Keogh - 1.9mil to Middlesbrough
Tom Povey - 500k to Manchester United (Regen wonderkid Keeper, but United offered contract and he didn't want to stay at Wolves, only 16 :()
Mark Little - Loan to Carlisle
George Friend - Loan to Rotherham
Carl Ikeme - Loan to Wycombe

Very pleased with my signings, feel my squad can easily avoid relegation and maybe hit mid-table and just build from there :)

Good signings there! Kyle Lafferty is an interesting one but should be good

August

Wigan 1-1 Wolves (Premiership)

Scorers: Wigan: Jakubko (80)
Wolves: Doyle (9)
MOTM: Charles N'Zogbia 7.5*

Good start to the season. Wasn't expecting to get anything from this game, but right from the off we dominated and dominated. We got an early goal and kept pressing, but we never got the 2nd. To our dissapointment, through a set piece we conceded 10 minutes from time. All in all a incouraging performance

Wolves 3 - 1 Man City (Premiership)

Scorers: Wolves: Doyle ( 6 ), Lafferty (8), Stearman (18)
Man City: Berra o.g (28)
MOTM: Wayne Hennessey 8.4*

Best result by far I think I will get this season. 3 goals in 12 minutes at such an early stage really surprised me and I was thinking, are they going to come back later on in the game. They kept knocking at the door, but big Wayne wasn't going to let them in keeping out an outstanding 11 shots from City. Impressive performance, something I look to build on now.

Man United 1 - 1 Wolves (Premiership)

Scorers: United: Berbatov (16), Anderson missed pen (11)
Wolves: Milijas (75)
MOTM: Nenad Milijas 7.6*

Wow, unbeaten in our first 3 games, 2 of which being away and 2 being against much much much stronger opposition! Got dominated all game, Hennessey saved a good pen form Anderson, but 5 minutes later they still scored ... Milijas with his great freekicks popped up in the 75th minute with an unstoppable freekick :)

Wolves 4 - 0 Exeter (League Cup 2nd Round)

Scorers: Wolves: Maierhofer ( 6 ), Milijas (16), Mancienne (56), Henry (87)
MOTM:
Nenad Milijas 8.4*

I holidayed this game as I thought it would be too easy and a waste of my time, which as it shows it was very easy. Boost the confidence of Maierhofer as a striker and for the rest of the team as its a nice big win

Wolves 2 - 2 Aston Villa (Premiership)

Scorers: Wolves: Ebanks Blake (12) & (66)
Aston Villa:Dunne (31), A.Young (75)
MOTM: Sylvan Ebanks Blake 8.3*

Another encouraging performance which really we should have won, but countless little mistakes gave Villa the opportunity to capitalize on the mistakes. Still, unbeaten in 4 in the league now and looking good :)

Great month there, didn't lose a single game and played like a proper Premiership team thats been in this league for years and not just a month :D, I look to build on this and at the minute all my strikers are scoring which is encouraging as I didn't expect this!
