who to buy rival's player??

i get fed up when buying rival club's player as they keep on rejecting my BIG OFFERS..
any idea how to solve this problem??:S

very hard to do, esepcially with big rivalries.

for example the real madrid fans and board will ot tolerate you bidding for athletico madrid players, i was sacked on a previous fm for bidding 30million for fernado torres!!

how often do players trade city rivals in real life? very rarely. owen has gone from liverpool to united, but via madrid and newcastle.
