Who to sign for Schalke 3rd season...

Have just taken the Schalke job after two years with Sunderland.
The team have only lost Farfan as a key player.
I have been given 8 million to spend. The squad doesn't seem to have a lot of quality, especially in midfield.

I'm just wondering if anyone could give me any advice for players that aren't really heard of but will do a decent enough job for Schalke.
Don't really know who are decent players in regards to not the household names.

get your scouts to have a sniff around Man City they're always throwing out some decent enough players dirt cheap. Off top of my head players like Jo and De Jong should be available.
