Why am i failing?

Hey, i brought FM 11 last week.. and started as plymouth, all the preseason went well i won most of the games, but as soon as the season started i lost like 8 games in a row... and now my players are really unhappy and i cant cheer them up :(

maybe i just suck at this.. but the same thing happened to a new game i started.. (i went for bath) who arnt expected to stay above relagation but ive lost all my games with them too

any suggestions ?? <)
 
pre-season is easy, when the games start to matter they become harder....

what tactics are you using? what players have you bought? try with a big team like United or Chelsea for a season or so and get used to the game and create tactics, test and tweak them... learn to walk before you fly :)

starting in the lower leagues is not easy and not recommended for 1st timers, you end up getting ****** off with the game and stop playing it, but when you learn how to make tactics and training schedules etc, it becomes fun and it will filter down into your lower league teams and will be so much more enjoyable for you :)

you can always try download tactics from here, there are some good ones :) but for the lower league teams I suggest making your own as 98% of the tactics uploaded are made for and or around the top half of most leagues (well mine was for a 17th predicted finished team in the Bundesliga)

congrats on not acting like a spoilt idiotic child ranting and raving saying how **** the game is :)
 
Raikan is right. I started with Spurs and within 3 year I'd won the Premier League, then went onto win it a further 3 times on the trot. I then decided I fancied a change so started a new game as Rotherham manager, it's tough!
 
ive found if u start with a lower team ull never win straight away but i always invest in young players so atm im in the championship with altrincham in 2019 and still using some of the players i got when i started in BSP

So mabye if i start tophalf of champion ship maybe?? i dont like the idea of going straight at the top as i like a challenge!

any recomended teams to start with? (not plymouth (6))
