Literally they really are. Offering my players out such as a 24 year old Oscar for ?40m (his value is 37.5m) and the highest bid is 30m!
Andre Schurrle for ?13m and the highest bid is... ?4m !
David Luiz for ?7m and only Real Sociedad offer ?3m.

These seem like bargains I'm offering and no one will make a fair bid!

How do you sell players without getting ripped off?!

Are these players actually getting game time? If they are just sat on your bench or are performing terrible you won't sell at all.

I've sold players at way over the odds prices, but those I've sold have been starters averaging at least 7.3 a game. Also, if they;re close to the last year of the contract, you'll not sell them easily either for much above the valuation. I tend to go by my own valuations based on other similar players, length of contract, do they get a game, etc. Remember, a player that isn't likely to either develop or get a game is taking money from you little by little every week. You should get rid of them for any amount you can. Your other option is to get them some game time and hope they attract attention.

Well Oscar signed a 4 year contract a few weeks ago and played most of the time last season and was good. But he had one bad game this season and I critisised him and fined him and he requested transfer. (Plus I want to try and build a HG squad). I offered him for 10m over value and no offers so i offered him out for 40m and the only bid was from united who i would never sell to. IRL there would be loads of teams after this guy.
Luiz also played a lot last season (i've only just started this season) not as much but a lot and has a couple years left on contract. He is 29 but still quality with 3-4 years in him and only Sociedad want him and will refuse to offer anything above 3 mil.
Schurrle has been more rotational but is still at peak of career and plays well but no one wants him without ripping me off.

I don't understand as you see players like Khedira and Tello go for 20mil (pounds) yet no one will make a respectable offer for these.

I could be wrong but in my experience the AI won't pay as much for someone that has requested a TL, because they know your going to sell him because hes a sad panda.

^^What Jamie said^^ Just like real life, a player demanding a transfer what bring as much value generally as one who is not.

Sorry, he didn't officially request a transfer. In the conversation I was like your being unprofessional, start showing me respect and then he started crying so I said i'll have no option but to transfer you and it did it automatically. But he is listed as being unhappy about being fined. Don't know whether that affects anything... ?

Found the only time teams are willing to pay double or triple a players value is if they are playing well, fairly young and happy at the club. In my 1st season with Porto, PSG offered 28 Million for Mangala(?).

But when you're trying to sell a player they'll always make an offer at a cut-price, as you are trying to ship them out of the wage bill and for a profit, imagine it as them doing you a favour by buying the player from you heh. Try loaning Oscar out, some times during the time away from the club they suddenly decide they don't want to leave and will ask to be removed from the transfer list. Rare, but does happen.
