Just curious to know why first team coaches are generally paid more than general coaches if general coaches have more responsibility to alternate between the first team and youth team while the FT coach is only responsible for the first team?

I'm trying to sign a youth coach and promote him to the coach or first team coach role and he has decent 'working-with-youngsters' so I was thinking of placing him in the coach role so he can work with youngsters as well however if the first-team coach role is more demanding and beneficial, would it be worth it to put him in the first-team coach instead? Thanks in advance!

Unless he has good 'Man management,' it would be counter-productive to give him a First-Team coaching role.

In real life, a first team coach has more responsibility as they are responsible with ensuring the first team (the point of the club at the end of the day) is in optimal condition, proficient in formations and keep the players sharp coming up to match days. General coaches would work with the First-Team Coaches and Youth Coaches as extra-hands to help with the drills, practice matches, ect. They wouldn't really have much responsibility as training is the Managers responsibility in a club situation.
