Why cant i sign foreign players

Im currently Athletic Bilbao and in January transfer window. but i can only sign spanish players can some help please.
 
hmm, what are the ages of the players you are going after?
 
Athletic Bilbao can only sign Basque players. It is the club's policy. I intend to give them a go in the future. It sounds like a fun challenge. :)
 
i want to sign other players :( do i have to stay like this or does it change when i qualify?

It will stay like this forever - and there is no way to edit it out as it is hard coded into the game.

now i hope someone rescues me, even tho i just signed arteta for 22mill
 
Transfer policy. Bilbao only signs Basque Country players, hence why there's no foreign players when the assistant manager has filtered out options on the player search menu.
 
Be aware, though, that Basque players are not only Spanish - You can also sign french Basque players, and Basque regens appear in other countries as well.

It's a challenging game, but a fun one as well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a challenge - anyone wishing for another easy game should stick to Manchester City.

But it's not easy to find a French Basque player bar Aviron Bayonnais (they're not exactly the best team in the world either in terms of regens).

Strangely why aren't there Iberoamerican Basques?

There are 1.6-4.5 million Basques in Chile, 3.1M in Argentina, 1.5M in Cuba and 2.5M in Mexico and 800,000-1.5 million in Brazil. SI should correct this to check if there any Iberoamerican basques playing (political considerations be damned).

Famous Ibero-American Basques:

Gonzalo Higuain- French/Argentinian/Basque- Real Madrid striker.
Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu- Mexican/Basque- film director
Salvador Allende- President of Chile (1970-73)

If only there were Basque Chileans there would be a much, much larger player pool to use.

Also, French Basque regens spawn in plenty of clubs - when I played with Arles-Avignon I had, say, 2 a season, although not of the best quality, mind you.

About Basque Americans, as an Argentine of Basque descent myself, I'm proud to tell you that Basque regens spawn in SA from time to time. I fired up a save some time ago and I spotted a Basque Argentine regen playing for Argentinos Juniors in Argentina.

its okay now anyway. ive been saved sampadoria have offerd me a contract and ive accepted i join at the end of the season :D

I was kidding, mate, don't worry. I'm one who likes challenges, but that doesn't mean everyone should play the same way. It's a game after all.
 
no its not that challenge im unhappy with its not being able to sign foreign player i had this perfect team set up in mind and i cant make it happen, i actually enjoy challenges i took eastwood town to the premiership in 18 seasons, but then the game decided not to like me anymore :(
