Why can't i win?

I recently started playing FM 2010, i have never played any other Football Manage game before. When i started i picked Manchester United as my team and since the Premier leage started i haven only won 1 match out of 4 and i'm loosing to teams i defenitly should not be loosing to. I got some tactics i use that are rated A+ and i found some training schedules, but i can't seem to win.. why?

Make sure the goalkeeper position is actually filled by a goalkeeper.

Did you buy lots of new players? If so it might take them some time to gel, same with the tactics, it might take a few games for your team to get used to them.

Yeh I agree with Smoop, too many players can be disruptive to a team - I know it's tempting with the massive budget United get at the start of the game!
