This thread is about formations, Tactics or Philosophy that simply does not work no matter what team you've got. Then getting feedback or advice from other member on how to improve or if they have the same problem.

ok i'll as a manger I always have my trusty 4-5-1/4-3-3 which I have great succes at many levels playing different styles except for fluid for some reason does not work for me no matter what I play .But I always like to replicate real formations. But for the life of me i just can't seem to get a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-2-2-2

So why can't I get fluid 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-2-2 to work

I did play 4-1-2-1-2 but always got hit on getting because of my fullbacks going so high up the pitch

Not too bad, you have a good defence and your top ffs. Give it time, try not to make too many signings, build up team cohesion.
