Hi Every1,

Wondered if anyone new why you cannot Buy Santino. Quaranta on Football Manager 12 as he is clearly a player on the game yet there is no option to 'Make an Offer' for him - I have started a season with D.C. United in the MLS and he would be a really good signing! - On his profile screen page it says he is 'available on a free transfer' so I don't get why you can't sign him (why put him on the game otherwise) - Any help would be Gratefully apreciated Thank You! xx

Probably because he is retiring/retired, as he did actually retire in 2011 before joining a team in the Indian Premier league earlier this year.

Thanks Dunc,

Its a shame as he is only 26, Would have been nice if they had given you the option to make him an offer anyways! - I still don't get why you can't sign him - damb you D.C. For releasing him in the first place.

He may well be available on FM13, although saying that, I wouldn't know, as I haven't looked lol.

I havnt checked on 13 either, Any tips from anyone on how to sign Jack McInerney from Philadelphia on FM 12 as he looks a really promising Striker, I have offered almost all my draft picks plus 140k of my allocation funds (all I have) and even added my top striker Hamdi Salihi to the deal in exchange - yet they still won't accept! Any Ideas?

I think I have solved it! By adding a new manager and becoming the Philadelphia manger and accepting the bid myself lol - hopefully I can now resign after doing what I need!

XABIKER, I think the problem is that Santino Quaranta had been recently released by your club and if someone has just been released, that means you're unwanted, so why come back? There's no guarantee it won't happen again.

I would never release Santino lol, Does anybody have any idea about this problem - I have offered De Rosario a new contract (at D.C.United) and in order to meet his wage demands I can only make him a designated player otherwise I can only offer him 3.9k and he is asking for 7k+ ihe finally settled for 6k after I offered his agent 76k - I thought I had done well as he is one of my top players as I had tied him down until 2014 - Yet a few days later I received a message that said this - D.C. United have been unable to renew the contract of Dwayne De Rosario. There cannot be more than two Designated Players in the squad. - fair enough if I had more than two Designated Players yet I only have one (Branko Boskovic) so I don't get why it is saying this - the other one I had Hamed Salihi iis now at Philadelphia after being part the deal that brought Jack McInerney to D.C! - Any Ideas Guys???
