Why can't you design your own stadium?

Can anyone remember the stadium expansion options on total club manager you could do just about anything from choosing exact expansion size, seat colour,seat pattern/club logo, how many ad boards, how many press rooms, how many tiers,sadium type,roof material and loads more and you could see the cost going up and down depending on what you added eg adding a extra tier cost a lot but you got money from ad boards I just think that this should be added to fm because at the moment you just ask the board and have no influence on anything. I think you should also be able to build youth academies around the world as well

post below what improvements you would like to see regarding stadium expansion options, training and youth facilities or general improvements you would like to see on the game

i remember it on fifa manager mode was pretty fun to do fm should do it.
 
I remember this - on my PS2 constantly swapping discs between Fifa Manager and Fifa Football as you could play and manage your games. XD
 
FIFA manager was called total club manager until about 2006
 
Because the game is titled Football Manager.

Football Manager is a Simulation (Or at least tries to be).

Well they do to an extent. Arsene Wenger at the Emirates, for example. He designed the shape of the dressing room himself, and demanded that a pillar in the centre of it be taken away.

True but there is a difference between a dressing room and how you want the stands to look. but point taken.

As noted this is Football manager not Sim City
 
I don't see the harm in putting it in.

It will add some depth for some people. I'd like to have some input in my stadium, if I ever get one.
 
i think an option to expand wouldn`t be a bad thing you could put it in prefrences.
 
because its football manager, not designer stadium.

Think about it please, managers don't design stadiums, in this game, your a manager, so why would you design a stadium?
 
Managers don't design stadiums, no, but they have some input. This feature wouldn't be too bad to include, so long as your input as manager is reasonable and not immersive to the point that you're actually designing the shape. However, I'd much rather SI concentrate on other, more important, aspects of the game to improve before they start on the trivial stuff like this.
 
I think it would be a good feature to include on fm11 because i always liked designing my stands on the old lma managers.
 
Why can't you design you're own stadium? Because it's not in the game.
