Why do Holding Mids never get a good rating no matter what?

Doesn't matter if he completely dominates oposition midfielders or if he does next to nothing my Holding Mids never gets a good Rating, they're always in that 6.6/6.7 rating no matter what. My DM(d) once has 8 tackles, 12 interceptions and 88.7% pass completion (Granted no key passes, not many long balls) but still he had a terrible grade, along the lines of 6.6..
Even when i win 6-0 and have 35 shots, everyone has above 8 rating and he's still in the very low 7's.. does this happen to anyone else?

Yep. I get my team to play possession based football and my midfielders often have over 80 passes completed, decent amount of tackles and hardly put a foot wrong all game but they'd only get a 6.9 rating. The game cannot identify their influence on the match as well as it can for those banging in the goals or assists. But then again look at some of the great DMs and CMs IRL who are severely underrated as they dont do nothing spectacular but are very important to their team.

My Creative Mids and Runners get good ratings, it's just my Holding mid. It wouldn't annoy me much but the guy who plays there is my favourite player, and it's where my friends make me play every weekend LOL

What team you playing as? If its a big team I was wondering if your holding midfielder actually has to do much with your team that is probably attacking most of the time. If its a small team who relies on him when defending he'd probably get a higher rating, similar to GKs.

My holding midfielders usually get 7.0+ when I win and it can vary if I lose/tie. In my opinion its based on your tactic and how well your team does.

I won the BPL and Champions in my first season with Arsenal. Pretty much all my player had 7.0 season averages except my Holding mid who had 6.8/6.9

It's not much different to real life is it? Hahaha.

Fans rarely can see that kind of stuff. By rarely I meant maybe 999,999 out of 1,000,000 people fail to identify why and who plays good in a game and why things happen. I wouldn't be too disheartened.
