Why DO tactics stop working all of a sudden ?
THey'll be ripping it up one season or two then they stop working and you lose !
Does this always happen and if so, why ? !

Because the other team works out how to counter it after a while.

Other teams catch on to the best way to exploit any weknesses in your formation / tactics ?

If you kept beating a team they would probably take a look at where they are going wrong against you.

Know what you mean though, sometimes its pretty sudden and you can go on a big steak of nothing working out for you

Other teams catch onto it after a while......you have to keep on tweaking it

it depends on results and reputation, they dont work it out as such, the AI isnt that smart. if you are constantly successful, and get higher reps, smaller teams will play more defensive and on the counter etc. you dont necessairly need to change your tactic. ive seen people play 50 seasons with one tactic

dont think the A1 is that advanced

you need to watch how the formation lines up, how they pass etc. are they playing lots of side to side passes, are their fullbacks getting forward. personally, use a deeper line shout, try and control possession rather than just laucha attack after attack, use pass into space to hit the killer pass, try a control mentality. in effect its up to you to take the initative to take control of the game

That's it, the other teams just find out how to play against you - just like in real life.

You have to make some changes then, trying ro find another way to keep being succesful.

I like my formations to have flexibility - which means my tactics also have flexibility . Take the basic 4-4-2 for example. It can esilly be changed to a 4-2-4 with two wingers, a 4-2-2-2 with two defensive mids or a 4-4-2 (wide or narrow) Diamond. This means you can counter almost any formation and situation. I change it up depending on the situation. Playing on narrow pitch against a stronger team? Change to a 4-4-2 Narrow Diamond (AKA 4-1-2-1-2) and play through the middle and constrict the other team.
