Why has my save done this?

When i started this save i had 3 stars and was running really fast now 4 years in i have half a star?

When a player retires, he is replaced by a regen, however the retiring player does not always leave the database, they often remain on the database as a staff member or manager, year on year your database size will increase, causing a slowdown in game speed.

Just as Jake said... You will find that the speed will fluctuate year on year as staff retire from the game aswell. So hopefully this will be your 'slow' year, and next year may speed up a little as the game changes it's staff members/players.

Just to remind some people, don't give a **** about the star ratings. My laptop can run a game with 78000 players just fine with a half star rating. They're only to give direction there, but don't trust them too much.

indeed, in my 3rd season, my game slowed a bit, but now in my fourth it is going really fast now!
