Why is this player retiring so young?!?

Ryan Bertrand (28) just announced he will retire at the end of the season and I can't find any reason why. He was still playing for Chelsea and was a regular for England, his stats are still good. I even looked on his injury record and all he's had is a couple of sprained ankles. Why?

On a previous save I had him at Chelsea and he stayed until he was about 34.

i am not sure but played save with R.Madrid and C.Ronaldo retired from international football 2014.LOL

yeh i get a lot of players retiring from internationals at that age to prolong their club career but to retire completely for no reason seems weird!

Personality attribute combinations play a part in retirement decisions. It does happen in certain cases, I always think Taarabt/Balotelli/Tevez will go early on FM for that reason but never get far enough to see!
