Why my players don't do what I setup for them?

I setup my team for high pressing counter attack more direct passing be more disciplined and dribble less but my mc's always start to dribbling and do idiot things and the enemies always score goals...
Why are these setups in the game if the team don't do it?

The team does what you tell them. We need to see what you actually set up and also whether those players have PPMs.
