Will using the tactic in season 2 work in season 3?

I have never manage to play FM11 till season 3 so has no experience at all..usually I only play till half of season 2,so based on that,formation (not tactic,formation) in season 1 never works in season 2. So does this apply the same in season 3 as well?

If it will not work, can I use my formation back in season 1 to use in season 3?coz I only like to use 4-2-4 and 4-2-3-1..

umph.. good question.. im also has doubt how much the tactic or formation effective in next season..
Based on my observation.. it should work if you use same formation with different instruction..
But same tactic (same instruction and formation) wont work at all.. need to change tacic

Well for me,it doesnt work with same formation with different instruction. In first season,I won the league. I tweak the tactic a little bit,thought it work,since I won 6-1 in the first league game. But then I went on losing to Bristol City,Bristol City and lose to Chelsea,draw against other teams and barely win in the first few games. After I lose to Sporting Cp 1-0,conceding a late goal when I clearly dominated the game, I was so furious I quit the game without saving. I stopped playing after a while. After I played again,draw with sporting cp,then lose the next match to chelsea 2-0. I decided to use a new formation,4-2-3-1 (I use 4-2-4 before). It's a risk as I have to drop Suarez who's really good at scoring goals.

The tactic work wonders. I won the treble that season :- FA Cup,EPL and Champions Cup.This proved to me that using the same formation doesnt work. Now I'm dreading the start of the new season since I dont know which formation to play anymore.
