I opened as season with A.C. Milan, and I have this huge problem with the wingers' support
I play with El Shaarawy and Niang and the try to shoot rather then pass in almost every situation

I set their instructions to "Shoot less often" and "Dribble more" and they still try to shoot when ever they can (long distances, and from impossible range) same goes for De Sciglio and Ben Davies, they never cross the ball and shoot whenever they want

I tried to work a lot on Team Work, and the Instructions was set to "Work ball to box","Retain Possession" and "Pass into space"...

Can someone help?

El Shaarawy is right footed left winger, he is an IF, more likely to shoot that pass/cross. A left footed left winger will cross/pass more than shooting himself (Andrew Ayew). It also depends on the role you're playing your striker. A Target Man's most likely to get a pass. Poacher is useless in possession football.

Ask the wingers to stay wide, mate. Also, please post your formation with Instructions.

Mate, ask the men at wings to stay wide and also "Look for overlap". This is very effective when using wing play. If you are looking for a complete possession based tactic, then use lower tempo and high defensive line and get stuck in. Modern football values this type of play. High line, pressing your opponent to make mistakes and passing around. The Engache should be ordered to try more killer balls. This will also help in getting players to goal scoring positions more often but risk losing possession(Btw Kaka is great and can find a pass). Finally, your striker must support as a DLP or a F9 if people behind him are going to attack. Else he will be isolated as players in attack duty try to shoot often. So change your IF to support if you are using a target man.
Hope this helps.

I still think it's because Shaarawy is right footed on left wing. I have Podolski on left wing, and he's got 19 finishing, yet he passes more often than shoot, he feels uncomfortable shooting from the angle from left flank, similarly Shaarawy finds it easier to shoot with his right foot from left instead of passing from his weaker foot, i.e. left.

El shaarawy is the least problem because sometimes he scores,i'm talking more about the side defenders and Niang who plays right winger

Thanks alot,i'll try those instructions

Niang has 9 teamwork, what else do you expect? And it also depends on what role do you play your FBs. If you want to play Target Man, play as Wing Back (Attack). Works very well for me, I also have a DM playing as Half back, so when my Wingbacks go up, they form a 3 man defense.

So if i'll let Tello play as RW he'll assist more?

and my left defender is Full back (Auto) and De Sciglio is Complete wing back ATT

That midfield is sooo vurnerable to counter attacks
How can I improve it?,and sometimes I play with 2 Strikers instead of the middle attack midfielder

I do concede to many goals, and and don't score enough, can you help?

Try a 3 man midfield.

BWM (D) AP (S)
DM (D) or Anchor

4231 is useless in FM14. You will have to play Kaka deeper.

Have not tried 4-2-3-1 yet. But saw many threads that show that 4-2-3-1 with 2 DMs has been very effective in FM14. One hard tackler and a conductor from the deep respectively in the DM roles. Have to test this.

RelRom, Change your BWM to an Anchor Man and bring your DLP to the DM position and try. This will stop ur goal leakage. The Anchor and the CDs disrupt the opposition attack and supply simple passes to the DLP who initiates attacks from the deep. Apart from this, use the advice I gave in my previous reply
