I am desperate for an answer.
I remember on fm12 if you had 2 wingers-attack duty, you would get plenty of assists and goals.
Now,on fm14 could someone tell me what player instructions could i give to my wingers in order to bring assists to my lonely poacher?

Also,i want my 2 CD's to be:one slow,strong with good mental attributes and one fast,something like Pique(slow,good mental attributes) and Puyol(fast) 2-3 years ago.What roles should i give them?i don't want the usual CD-Defend.

If your wingers have good acceleration, good dribbling and good crossing you can assign role:winger, duty:attack. If one of them has good finishing and less good crossing, then you should chose role:inside forward, duty:attack and it is better to use him on the other side of his main foot. I mean if he is right footed, you have to play him on the left side, and he will cut inside in a natural manner. If your winger has good crossing, but not very good dribbling, you should chose role:winger, duty:support.

Change your wingers to support and put one CB on cover and the other on stopper

Thank you i will try it.
On previous save i tried IF's-Attack on the other side of their feet but they didnt do much, didn't score, didn't create assists...

You need very fast players (16 acceleration, 16 speed) with good dribbling (15 dribbling at least) and decent scoring attributes (12 finishing, 12 composure) to play them as IF. They should penetrate the box between left-back and center back and they should shoot. Sometimes IF is not shooting on the goal and they pass in the middle of the box or even on the margin of the box. I convinced them to score with the "shoot more". However, different from previous FMs, now the defenders knows better to double and they succeed better to stole the ball from wingers or IFs, so IF is not so dangerous.

On the other hand it depends of playing style. If your team is playing possession style, with short passes, then expect IF to be less dangerous, partially because his speed and acceleration doesn't matter too much when the opposition has 6-7 players defending their box. IF are useful on counter-attack or if your team is playing direct style.

Everything looks fine to me, as I can tell from the screenie....It is not shown on screenie, so I wonder did you set drill crossess or float crosses? If using a poacher, you should use drill. Also, make sure at least one other player has go further forward instruction, as the poacher doesn't stand much chance of getting on end of it being small and alone against god knows how many defenders....Your roles and duties are well balanced, but I do not see what kind of defensive line you use. If you are using a deep defensive line, then you can use a stopper cover combo for your cd's, and if using a high line, either two stoppers and sweep keeper, or offside trap and a sweeper keeper is advisable...

It looks fine to you but unfortunately it didn't work,so,i changed my tactics to this:
4-5-1 Control (main tactic):

4-5-1 Attacking (if i am desperate in need of goal):

4-5-1 Counter (against stronger sides):

Btw,i am managing Olympiakos Piraeus. Now let's hope new tactics will work.I will bring A.Hernandez for AF and 2 IF's playing on the other foot.Saviola will be my sub striker.

My suggestion:

tick:
pass to space
drill crosses
run at defense
play wider
roam from positions

untick:
pump ball into box (perhaps tick play out of defense)
be more expressive

the player roles looks fine, the duty, i would change the wingers and the ap to support, and the fullbacks to attack (or complete wingbacks if you prefer).

IMO, this will give you better overalp and put your striker (a poacher would be a good alternative depending on the strikers you have) in hunting mode for crosses and through balls.

PS: using a stopper-cover combo with playing the offside trap is controversial, not gonna discuss that but i've seen tactics where this works out well, but personally, i would put both on defend duty...
