What does everyone prefer?

Personally i find wingers 1000x more effective but IF are a bit more 'exciting'.

At the moment im using inside forwards but on the verge of swapping to wingers as they are very inconsistent.

Whats everyones experiences with the 2?

Depends on how you want to play, mate. A false nine can make use of the IF's very well. They can exploit the space created by F9 and cut inside. A good F9 can easily play dangerous balls to the IF's making them goal scoring threats. Wingers are effective when you have a strong Target man or o poacher. The TM can head the ball into goal or early crosses can be converted by the poacher.
I use IFs with an F9 by btw. All three score goals :)

I find wingers effective when u have a flat midfield like in a 442 . If u have aml and amr I like DW as they do same as wingers but can come to save fb from wide wingers of opposition

yeah im using that at the moment, do you have the IF on attack or support? im using:

Lambert F9
Osvaldo IF attack - Ramirez IF attack

there good but i think they could be alot better....

IF in possession tactics crowd the mid of the pitch too much, so i prefer wingers.

Wingers works for me and get my strikers scoring. I play 4-4-2.

may have to try this, how do they play/attack?

Make sure they are inverted and just send them out with all the freedom they need. They play like a mix of Winger (s) and IF (s).

Ryan Gauld from Dundee is a great young player for that role.
Di Maria is fantastic.

Also, it doesn't say that pace is important, it is.

ok thanks mate, should i use them on support or attack?

Attack.

Support could work probably if you had 2 strikers, but i never use 2, so i woulnd't know.

Think - Manchester City when Nasri and Silva are playing ''out wide''.

I use IFs, inverted wingers. Hazard and Juan Mata are beasts as IF(suppport), both have play killer through balls PPM so provide a lot of assists, and even score goals.

Do you play with a AMC and if so what role? I magine this could work well with a Shadow Striker and a False Nine.

Great thread i learned a lot reading posts here.
Thanks

On past games I liked using wingers but in real football inside forwards are the new thing and they are definitely effective on this game especially with high tempo technical sides. I guess if you were being Stoke and used Crouch as your striker, wingers would make sense though.

You can use a AMC if you want too. Doesn't even need to be that, you can just make him a supporting player

I found both very similar if you give them freedom, both will cut inside sometimes and provide a shot or trough ball, as well run to touchline and cross, but good fullbacks/wing backs are much more difficult to find than defensive midfielders, so I say wingers are more effective because their opposite will be fullbacks, and will beat them more often than a good defensive midfielder or stopper defender.
