WinRAR for downloading?

Really sorry if this has been posted but as it's my first post does anyone know if you need winRAR to be able to successfully download kits/skins for the game? Only that I downloaded a recent pack of official kits and put it in my Documents>Sports Interactive> Football Manager folder only that I still can't get them on the game. Do I need to change the game's preferences at the start menu or do I have to do something else in order to get them? Thanks for your time lads.

So obviously I can't just click 'Extract all...' on the drop down menu of the file on Windows Vista? Where can I download winRar?
