The WBO and IBF champion has withdrawn just three days before the fight with a back problem.

The Ukrainian, who held a public workout on Wednesday afternoon, has torn a muscle.

His American adviser, Shelley Finkel, confirmed Klitschko is expected to be out of action for anything up to two months.

"Wladimir has withdrawn from the fight, that is correct. He has torn a muscle in his back," he said.

"It is not too serious though. He should be able to fight again within 60 days."

It is a bitter blow for Chisora who was just 72 hours away from the fight of his life in Mannheim.

But his promoter Frank Warren says he has already started negotiations to re-arrange the fight.

"I was informed about an hour ago that Klitschko pulled a back muscle and he was out of the fight," he told boxingscene.com

"Dereck is very disappointed. He didn't believe it. He felt everything was fine. Three or four days before a title fight, most of the hard work is done

Really dissapointed about this, was looking forward to watching it.

How much more obvious could it be that this is just an excuse to get to fight Haye, a title holder, rather than Chisora?

Its took long enough to get the fight against haye who says its going to ever happen.

It will happen, it has to.

Agreed it better happen but been waiting for so long now im starting to get bored of all the talk.

To be fair, he would batter Chisora.

I would rather he had just won the fight, and then worked on setting up a fight with Haye.

But now, its likely Chisora will try and have the fight re-scheduled, meaning we have to wait even longer for a fight with Haye.
