So I've built a pretty successful team primarily of wonderkids at Tottenham from 2014 - 2019, no edits, all real purchases with existing funds from selling key players over the years. From 2014-2016 sold Harry Kane for 20m (Forest), Paulinho 17m (Fiorentina), Eriksen 40m (Juve), Lamela 27m (Barca) and Lucas Romero for 30m (City).
By 2018/2019 season I won the quadruple; Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup Cup and Champions League. As well as Euro Super Cup. Pretty much untouchable.
Best performers so far:
#1. Pione Sisto. Bought for 3m in 2014. Ridiculous player by 2018, valued at 23.5m. Plays best as AMR.
#2. Dominico Berardi. Bought for 12m in 2017, now valued at 34m. 38 goals in 39 games, say no more. Play as Complete Forward.
#3. Youri Tielemans. Bought in 2014 for 11m, sent out on loan a few years, now worth 44m. Scores and assists.
#4. Matias Kranevitter. Bought for 5m in 2016, solid DM. Now worth 30m.
#5. Memphis Depay. Bought from Man U for 20m in 2015, now worth 31m. Plays as AML, but inside forward.
#6. Mateo Kovacic. Bought from Inter in 2015 for 35m, now worth 39m. Plays best as CAM.
#7. Jack Grealish. Bought from Villa in 2016 for 18m, now worth 29m. Back-up for Depay. Scores plenty goals and is English home-grown.
#8. Eder Alvarez Balanta. Bought for 7.5m in 2015, now worth 41m!! Solid CD, amazing stats.
Other notable players: Paulo Dybala (ST), Gaston Gil Romero (DM/CM), Nathan Redmond (AMR/AML), John Stones (CD), Emmanuel Mammana (CD), James Ward-Prowse (CM/CAM).
One thing I've found a challenge in the game is having enough home grown players, especially for Champions League. Not too many English wonderkids that aren't already owned by big clubs. Have had to hold onto Kyle Walker, Nabil Bentaleb, Danny Rose for home grown reasons.
Good tactics have helped too. I use as an attacking 4-3-2-1 at home and against weaker teams, changing to counter or control for stronger teams, particularly away.
