i have a problem,

i sign an Argentine left back when he was 17 (now 21) he's work his way up through the youth and reserve side and last season played about about 10 1st games, end of season his contract expires but i cannot renew it as he keeps getting denied a work permit, tried about 20 time same thing,

now in Oct of the following season he's signed the contract and but work permit still not granted and until it is i can't play him.

how on earth do you get around this cycle?

You send him out to a feeder club in Europe (Spain pour examplé) until he gets his permit/becomes a citizen.

Have you checked how long before he becomes a european citizen if you have had him for 4+ years?

oh good point, i've only just took on a feeder club in beligum,

thanks

look at his personal page and see how many days he has left to become a english citizen, i'd just let him stay on your team if he has only a 1yr and half or less, citizenship days don't reset so sending him to belgium for another 3 yrs to get european pastport would be a bit silly

You only need to presevere for another year. Players become a British citizen after 5 years
