work permit issues on contrat renewal....need help.

Hi everybody, i have a young talented goal keeper who has been in my team for 3years, now he is nearing the ed of his contract, 6months left precisely, i now offered him a new contract, and i was told that he cant sign the new contract because his work permit application has failed....what do i do?
should i keep offering him the contract or what?
what will happen after his contract runs out and he has not been able to sign the contract still because of the work permit?
Will he leave the club as a free agent or what?
pls need help on it quickly...
He is fantastic on goal and cant afford to lose him now.

Try and get a feeder club where you can loan him out. He should be able to renew his contract then but he wont be able to play for you.
