I bought this guy(William Santana) last season, I couldn't get the Work Permit then so in Jan I sent him on loan to Antwerp. Then when I got him back next season he still has got not got his work permit yet. No message regarding that in my inbox. Is there a way I can re-apply? He is 21 years old and I have 17 year old brazilians with Work Permits. Please suggest a solution. Cheers.

sign him a new contract and he will be avalible. you could have done this from the start instead of loaning out :P

really if you sign another contract with the guy he will get the permit, i never knew that

I think the time he tried that he was just lucky that the guy played international matches and therefore had played enugh international matches and got the work permit. I can't imagine the guy's talking about buying the player, offering him a new contract and players getting the permit, would be a major flaw

um no... i do it all the time, its a glitch in the game... i think.... everytime someone joins me and they have WP next to their name, i just instantly go to offer new contract. they accept, and its no more WP. works for everyone else aswell...

He is right. It works like a charm. Thanks man.

it didnt work for me. how long do u offer the new contract for?

lol so whats the solution for the ones that dont?
I bought Cardozo at 27, If i let him loan out for three years he would be thirty

You couldnt get a work permit for Cardozo?!

Players have to be sent abroad over and over until they achieve the nationality of that country.

Can also work if you send a player who has a year left before getting, say, Spanish nationality to spain for a year. Or if the player gets into the international team whilst without work permit, another contract may change that

I'm having trouble with Brek Shea's work permit. Have signed him 5 new contracts and still nothing... anyone??

That doesnt work, simple as that... Loan him out

Oh, and cardozo may be close to getting another nationality, so may not take 3 years if sent there....

Best bets get him to belgium for 3 sesons and he will improve as a player and also gain citizenship!

Offering a new contact could make things worse if the work permit is refused again, as you have to keep paying the player for even longer.

Im managing in France and have 7 non eu players (french league limit is 4) so im having to loan players out as i cant register them. To gain citazinship in france takes 5 years, i want 3 young brazilians to loan out to belgium but they keep refusing to go...

yh the dodgy work permit thing seriously blows hopefully itll be resolved in FM10 with the chance to re-apply for WP

The work-permits aren't realistic.. But to be honest just don't buy players who are old and can't get work permits :S It's not worth it.
