Hi people was wondering if someone can help me out here, I signed Ji Dong Won from Chunnam Dragons in South Korea after a work permit appeal was successful but now in my squad I cant play him because it says I will need a work permit for him how can I get a permit for him because he is a quality player?

Obviously your work permit appeal wasn't successful.

Sometimes appeals still decline the permit, but do allow you to sign the player, you have to send them on loan to gain nationality though.

Read your messages more carefully next time.

As for your current problem, you can loan him out for 2 or 3 years (depending on which nation) to a club in the EU until he gains nationality, negating the need for a permit. Occasionally offer him a new contract which may see his work permit granted.

How come a "big" player like Jorge Fucile from FC Porto, can't get a work permit? I signed him with my Liverpool squad, but didn't even get a chance to appeal. Anything i can do, or do i just send him out on loan for a season?

If you get the player to your club, but it still says "WP" - try offering him a new contract, he might get it granted then.

Although - I'm not sure if this only works with players you bought when they were under 18 and couldn't move before they are 18.

It's worth a shot though, good luck!

it is a pain when a player like Jorge does not get granted a WP, as you can read in my guide in post #3 there are different avenues you can try :)

however, he must not have met certain requirements and hence not being granted one..

you may just have to sell him mate and bring in someone else ;)

Well in my save, this little talent was picked up by Inter in the first year, straight up got a work permit and began playing immediately. So, he SHOULD be able to get one, whether on appeal or not I don't know, but it is possible straight off.

Perhaps you should try again, or go with the loan option.
