Working the ball into the box

With my current tactics i am finding that my man utd team seem to be shooting from long range alot and then i select the "work ball into box" shout and suddenly the team start playing well and scoring goals.

Anyone know what I have to with my tactics to make them work the ball into the box permanently?

lower thier long distance shooting manually...

When you start just pause it then choose that, i don't think there is another way :S
