WORLD WIDE BEST: #1
ARSENAL'S INVINCIBLE 03/04

This is a new series I'll be starting, which is a recreation of the tactics of all the greatest teams in football. I'll be analyzing manager's secrets to making their tactic successful. This series will include Tiki-Taka, Porto's Domination, The Manchester United Triple Threat and even more.

SO...Arsenal's shocking undefeated 2003/04 season was something that astonished the world. In the season they managed to achieve an impressive: P38 W28 D10 L0 record. They humiliated great teams and dominated the match. They later on achieved a double by wining the FA Cup, a cup all arsenal fans love to have. It is said that this is Arsene Wegner's greatest achievement.

THEIR MAIN IDEA

  • Dennis Bergkamp moved into where their was space. This took lured out the central midfielders from going on the attack, while Thierry Henry drifted to the left when Arsenal didn't have the possession- This made Arsenal dangerous on the counter attack.
  • Henry made sure he pressured the defense and prevented the opponent's Right Back from advancing.
  • Arsenal's wide Pires and Ljunberg gave wide midfielder a whole new meaning. They were famous for "cutting inside with the ball." They were goal-scoring machines.
  • Patrick Vieira was a Box-to-box player, as he had great stamina, as well as having the ability to make great passes and great off the ball skills. He was assisted with a more defensive midfielder, Gilberto. He possessed excellent qualities, which helped a lot on the counter attack and linking the defense with the forwards.
  • Ashley Cole was a developing player in Arsenal's youth system. He shone as a Attacking Full Back, bringing the attacks onto the left. Lauren helped link up the defense with the midfielders.
  • Arsene Wegner helped Kolo Toure and Campbell improve their game and to be a threat to the opponent's strikers.
We all have to agree The Invincible's did play lovely football-it was a joy to watch them play, even though I'm not a Arsenal Fan.

FM Copycat, why it is not on your blog yet?
I don't know. He inspired me to write this. He hasn't been updating his recently, so I thought why don't I do it. The issue with his tactic is that he doesn't use many Player Instructions so the tactic won't be as effective. I'll be giving some credit to him.

I'd say you've got the roles nailed, the only thing that worries me would be the attacking mentality and much high defensive line. I wouldn't say that team were that gung ho with their defence.

Any chance of recreating of Brian cloughs Forrest double European cup formation of 1978/79 and 79/80 he was a legend before his time and did something Ferguson couldn't.
